This book was pretty hard to get into at first because of the switching point of views (between the first person narrator who was stalking the other characters and the third person perspective of Celeine) with little warning of the switch. It also uses a lot of French without translating it, so I would have to stop and look up dialogue in Google Translate which felt like it took me out of the story abruptly. What I did love was the atmosphere and the setting of New Orleans.. I wish there had been a bit MORE vampires but they were there and present. It definitely left me wanting to read more about the warring families and to find out what happens to Celine. Overall a solid YA paranormal read.
