Hello friends! Renée Ahdieh, I definitely one of my favorite authors. I loved her book Flame in the mist, and it's sequel. My first impression of this new novel is that the cover sounds really mysterious. We do not know who the beautiful is, and the cover image looks nice. (I think that the chalice spilling the flowers looks very nice.) The first look of the book is also kinda cool. the first sentence where it said that New Orleans is ruled by the dead sounds very intense. There is this character who sounds almost malicious, amused by the people, he also sounds as though he is not human. Apparently he has some sort of love? Then the atmosphere switches to where Celine and Pippa are talking on the boat. They are both frightened, which is also interesting.
