The lush setting, the details of the costumes are all eloquently written in this latest novel by Renee Ahdieh. The author weaves quotes from Shakespeare into many of the chapters, putting to good use the Bard's words. She captures the overwhelming heat of the city and the tenuous position of women to marry well to secure a position of financial security and social mobility.
