I am not sure what I really think of this book. Don’t get me wrong I loved it but it took me sooooo long to read it and therefore my thoughts are slightly over the place. I blame the kids.
This book felt different in ways to other books but at the same time with the otherworldly elements. The difference being that it wasn’t chucked in your face and that was the best thing. I hate when you get these otherworldly elements and they are on every page. In this book they weren’t.
I liked the characters, they had depth to them and the dark secrets they harbor made them even better. I loved the main character she was a good choice, with her take no crap attitude.
It was weird in a way because I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I started reading this book. I didn’t even know about this book until I came across and audio advert for it and I was totally drawn in; and it was literally only the first part of the first chapter. That is how good this book was.
Damn that ending though. I can’t wait to read the next one.
