When I heard vampires were making a comeback to YA, I was on the fence about it. I didn’t really like the whole vampire phase in YA literature, but this book was so good! It did not feel like first generation YA, and the story was developed really well.
There are so many plot twists and DONT get me STARTED on that ending.... the pacing was perfect for me and I was constantly on the edge of my seat! I personally really loved the historical aspect of this book, as I’m a huge historical fiction fan!
The book was very female-positive and for that I loved it, and the main character was so badass.
The romance... the romance!! I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did but I ended up not being able to put down the book whenever the romance took center-stage.
