In order to rack up more points, I downloaded almost all of the "First Look" PDFs, allowing me to read them at my leisure, take notes, and then come back later and write up a bunch of reviews all at once, thereby making it easier on me and decreasing the amount of time I needed to sit at my computer. Unfortunately, this one was another let down for me. Here are the notes I took while I was reading the excerpt:
- Oh look, it's another formulaic YA.
- Gee, could there be any more cliches?
- How long have I been reading this? It's got to be almost over right? Only 15 pages? Eesh.
-This is just so very boring. Make it stop. Oh, wait, I can make it stop.

I DNF'd the preview on page 20. I just couldn't take any more brain melting numbness. This is what you'd get if some teenager decided to read Ann Rice and thought they could do better. Spoiler, they couldn't. (Do teens even read Ann Rice anymore?) Who knows. You know that meme - Still a better love story than Twilight? Well, you can't say that about this book. Not everyone needs to write vamp fiction, as is evidenced with this one.
