I really like this one, vampires in old New Orleans!! The characters were great, the plot kept moving and the mystery was such fun! Celine is a badass and I honestly want her as my friend. The setting was beautiful and I now want to find more stories set in 1800's New Orleans. Unless you've read reviews or the synopsis, you don't actually know it's vampires and the supernatural, which is something I really enjoyed. Too often it's kind of shoved down your throat from the beginning, so this approach was quite refreshing. All the characters are intriguing and I want to know so much more about each one. The storytelling does a great job of keeping you guessing and wanting more. The climax was amazing, it was well built up to and even while it was happening, you had no idea how it was going to end. Speaking of the end, what a cliffhanger! I can't wait to read the sequel!
