This book is historical fiction with a touch of romantic and paranormal themes. I would recommend this book if you are on the market for something that feels a little dark and mysterious.
I enjoyed this book as it had a main character who I felt was a bit ahead of her time in the sense that she stood up for her self and never played the damsel in Distress. I find that with a good portion of female lead characters they tend to rely too heavily on their male counterparts and I definitely can appreciate that the main character in the story did not do that. I however wouldn’t recommend this book to you if you are looking something that is comparable to twilight in the sense that it is primarily a paranormal story.
