My first reaction after turning the last page was to sit there and stare at the wall, my mouth slightly open. Renee Ahdieh is one of my favorites, ever since reading The Wrath and The Dawn duology. But Celine and Bastian and the surrounding world and mythology have me in awe and wanting more and thinking this is the best she has written yet! I don't think I have every related more strongly to a character than I have with Celine. Torn between good and evil, who she really is and trying to change or accept yourself. The world building is lush and takes many traditions and puts a very unique spin on them. Not to mention the nail biting suspense, and slowly unraveling mysteries, you won't be able to put this book down! So excited for the sequel!
