A unique supernatural story set in the crescent city.

This book reminded me so much of the television show “The Originals,” because like the show it is set in New Orleans (of the past) and has a cast of supernatural characters. However, the book is far more immersive since it is written from the perspective of a character who is experiencing the mystique of the city for the first time. I am a sucker for a historical romance tie-in and morally grey characters. This is a great book for someone who loves fantasy and historical fiction. This book was super interesting and I truly could not put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed the reading experience. Perfect for fans of Twilight, Crave and other supernatural romances. In my opinion even if you aren’t sure that this book will be your cup of tea I still think it is important to give it a chance. I haven’t started the second book yet but am anxiously waiting to see what will happen next for the characters.
