I was super super excited for The Beautiful because it meant the return of vampires. ALSO NEW ORLEANS.
This story was overall captivating and the characters are intriguing enough for me to love and root for them. However, I did feel like there was just too many descriptions of things that I wasn't interested in and just a lot of nothing happening at some points.
There's not a lot of action or a lot of information about the magical aspect of this world and that actually made the rating a little lower for me than what it could have been.
Overall though this is a wonderful return to the world of vampires and has wonderful characters. The fact that this is a series also excites me because I am sure the story will develop more in the next books!
