My oh my, this has to be one of the most interesting starts to a story I’ve seen in a while! The cover is beautiful albeit not usually what I reach for I’m so glad I did! The writing was eloquent, descriptive, and used alliterations wonderfully! (Something I haven’t seen used in a book in quite some time) I loved the blend of both French and English language and all the characters you see have such strong personalities. I also have quite the soft spot for the French Quarter of New Orleans, Mardi Gras, and magic. I’m beyond excited for this enchanting book!
