These first couple chapters set up a very intriguing mystery! The writing makes really good use of striking imagery, and I like the setting and some of the characters, especially Pippa. There are flaws—the chapters that step away from Celine's POV feel cliche and unnecessary—but I'm very curious to see where this is going.
