There's something very enchanting about this author's writing style. The first perspective on the first few pages gave me chills. Then the text pans over to the would-be sheep. Pippa and Celine at first glance appear too vulnerable for belief. Yet their timidity is understandable under the circumstances. Then as their thoughts begin to unravel you notice that something is being hidden- Something too mysterious and delightfully intriguing to ignore. The alternating point of views gives a full spectrum of this world and makes me wonder just how many more characters I will meet. Reading through the eyes of a non-human predator and its human prey, I find myself mentally begging to be released to further explore. There was no lack of promising action in the 57-page excerpt.
