I already know I enjoy Renee Ahdieh's writing, but The Beautiful is a bit of a genre twist from her other books because she's giving us a taste of the supernatural! Flowing, beautiful prose opens the story and every lovely description is tinged with a bit of darkness and foreboding. Each chapter ends with a cliffhanger, enticing words or at the height of action and the ending of the excerpt came too soon!
