I don’t often read romance novels but every once in a while I was done good steamy romance. This was perfect. I love the Beauty and the Beast and The Taming of the Shrew so it was practically made for me. Also both stories are terribly disrespectful towards women but I enjoy them nonetheless. My love of Beauty and the Beast has always confused me a bit as I’m a strong believer in the strength of women but I do love a good story where the woman softens a grouchy man. This book did not fail me. It is fun, steamy, and a great bit of brain candy. I love the cover! It really pops! Overall this was a fun romance that had some entertaining writing. I would be interested in reading more of this author’s work when I am looking for a book that just for me and can’t be used in my position as a high school librarian. Sometimes I like to read a book that’s not shareable with students. That way it’s purely fun reading and no work can come from it. Not often but every once in a while.
