Let me start by saying I would probably give this a strong 4 star...maybe even 4.5. I think the fact that this is more historical is one of the reasons why it just didn't get 5 stars from me. It was well written and I found myself entralled by all the characters we encountered in it. This is my first historical romance read and I am glad it was because it just might make me chance picking up another historical romance in the future. There were definitely touches of beauty and the beast in it which is excellent because I am a huge beauty and the beast fan. However it weaved ita own story and the characters had their own distinct traits that set them apart from the classic fairytale. I just love Nathaniel and kind of want to hold him through the whole book haha...or maybe have him hold me.
