I read the first look and I am glad that I did because this is not the kind of book I would have ever picked up based on the cover. The cover looks like a typical bodice ripper, but the story actually does seem to have some substance.
So, back to the plot. This story actually does appear to have a solid plot and based on the cover, it comes across as more Pride and Prejudice in it's writing style than 50 Shades of Gray.
I like the premise of sacrafice for family and that she is not seemingly going to end up in the company of the man who ruined her reputation so many years ago. I like the idea that she is able to reclaim her pride, agency, and life , to help her sister live her best life, and to perhaps find love in the process.
