I really enjoyed the Beast of Beswick. This book is about a reclusive gentlemen, who has given up on society and a normal life, and a feisty lady, who was years ahead of her time. It is first and foremost a Beauty and the Beast retelling but it is so much more. The Beast of Beswick also comments on how little power woman of that day had. Everything they did was decided by the men in their life. This is a story about a lady who had to use a broken system to save her sister and herself. I loved the back and forth between Astrid and Beswick. He was rude and disagreeable. Astrid gave it right back to him. Their stories are woven together as they both grow and find out that their pasts don't define their futures. The sisterly bond in this book was also great to see. Astrid is ten years older than her sister and very protective of her. They have been through a lot together but they also come to realize that they are each their own person and have to make decisions for their own happiness. I enjoyed the secondary characters as well. Thane's servants and his Aunt added some amazing humor to the story.

Overall, a fun, sexy read that I devoured.
