Who doesn’t love a good story about an evil, even if rich, man receiving his comeuppance? Certainly, Lord Nathaniel Harte deserves to be taken down a notch or two, and Lady Astrid Everleigh has the wherewithal to make Lord Harte think twice about his hateful ways. Because of his ruined face, Lord Harte has become disagreeable to everyone. Lady Astrid wishing to save her younger sister is willing to give herself in marriage to the so-called beast. Perhaps she will turn his anger into love.
