I will start this by saying that I am not a fan of romance novels. I tend to find them all sappy. I also am not a fan of historical fiction but I read the blurb to give it a fair shot since I have been surprised by stuff on here in the past. Unfortunately, this didn't stuck out as one of them for me. It is just the first chapter though and wasn't completely unbearable, but I'll still be skipping it.
