At the start I had to double check to see if I'd inadvertently skipped a few chapters because it felt like I had been dropped in the middle of a tornado & it took some time for me to get oriented. Tempers are high, Astrid is breathing hard after running up some stairs to confront her uncle & she thinks the Earl of Beaumont, with his smug face (okay, I caught myself giggling at this), is unworthy of her sister. All I could think of as I read was "Why?" & "What am I missing". I loved the cover & planned to check out the book when it came out. I still might check it out.
