I'm not sure if there was a lot of back story that I was missing from other books or if this book just wasn't a book for me but I really couldn't get in to it. I kept reading, because I firmly believe in seeing a book out to the end, but it never caught my interest.
The relationship between the main characters seems unhealthy, toxic, and controlling. Their relationship seems to be about what he wants and what is best for him throughout so much of the story.
The second half of the story was initially promising but once again lead to Cole making decisions without consulting, trusting, or talking to the woman he supposedly loves. The storyline maintained the dissappointong toxic relationship, confusion, and lackluster writing continued.
