I have to say that this is an outstanding thriller. I loved everything about this book. It was so easy to fly through and not even realize time had passed.

I really enjoyed the writing style of this book. I was straight forward and direct, and it really worked for this story. The author did amazing at making this book feel very realistic. Even after 18 years, people still have trauma, and I think it was shown very well so far in this book. The conversations between family members were things I could relate to and it just made them feel like real people with real relationships.

The author also was able to capture the chaotic energy that would be present with everything that was taking place. Our main character, who is a mom and caretaker, would have multiple things to do at once and by the way we would jump from one event to the next really captured the stress and activity of what was happening. Same things goes for when we followed the detective. By jumping from one case to the next and all the different events and things that were happening, we really felt like we were in middle of an investigation. It allowed us as readers to be fully engaged in the story.

And don’t even get me started on the actual mystery in this book. I had no clue who did it. I wouldn’t have in a million years guessed and yet it made sense. Throughout the story we saw multiple crimes, victims, theories, and events. There was never a dull moment. It was constant action from start to finish. Every page made me won’t more. This was everything I could of hoped for.

As for the cover... One of the best designs ever. It gives me chills. I've always had a irrational fear of eyes looking into windows, especially if there is a slit in the curtains. This couldn't have been any better of a cover. I think it is just perfect.
