The Babysitter by Nancy Bush is a great, sometimes scary story, of a mysterious attacker and the trail he leaves behind in a small town. It spans an attack on one babysitter, to another generation. Just when you think you know who the culprit is, there is an added twist. You won't be able to figure it out until the end! This book reminded me of the slasher movies I attended when I was a teenager. How many times did I think, "don't go in there", or "watch your back", while I was reading this story?
This book isn't so serious that it is constant fear, but it does keep you on the edge. The characters are well developed and the story line flows smoothly. It is a good read for both young adults and us oldsters looking for a mystery without too much extra drama.
