The Babysitter by Nancey Bush was both refreshingly different and formiliar. She starts the book with a character asking questions. That begining was brilliant because it has me engaged and wanting answers to the stated questions. It also starts with the present day then flips to the past which was so refreshing. Most of the thrillers I've read lately give you a glimpse of the past then jumps to the future leaving you wondering about for hours but this. This reversal still left me flipping pages for answers but it felt more organic and connected me to the character better. Even with the subtle differences it still contained all the drama, suspense, and terror you expect from a thriller.
