For me personally it was a struggle getting through the first chapter. Not because it was particularly gory, not much is mentioned on page, but maybe because we were in the mind of a high school sophomore more concerned about not getting caught for being at a party than for her sister's well being. It was an interesting twist to have the older sister become the victim, because I feel like younger siblings come into harms way more often. I don't think I'll be picking this one up, but I'm sure it will be full of twists and turns that mystery thriller readers will enjoy.
