The cover drew me in immediately, and only added to the already interesting premise. I'll be upfront with you. I had high expectations when I read the summary, that were only emphasized by the quality of the cover. "The Art Of Escaping" not only lives up to, but exceeds expectations. This is one book that I'll be recommending to as many of my friends as possible. A few places flowed less well than I would've liked, but overall this was an engaging read that discussed a lot of difficult issues. Now that it's over, I find myself missing Mattie, the main character, and her dynamics with the rest of the cast. I might never find a book like "the Art of escaping" again, but that only makes me more glad that I read it when I did.
