This was a great story about a young woman, on the brink of high school graduation, with people expecting her to make a decision about her future. We see her blossom from a shy girl with no direction to one who follows her passion to see where it may take her. Along the way we get to know Will with two L's as she does and we get his story too. I liked that the book focused on her personal journey and not on a romance. Although I like romance, it just worked here. I held my breath along with the audience as she performed her escapes. I wish we had a little more of a window into Miyu, even though we get her perspective a little I didn't think it was enough. I would have liked to learn more about her relationship with her mom. She indicates it was difficult but loving but we never really get any depth to it.

Definitely a book I will recommend to my teenage daughters.

Thank you to Bookish First and the publisher for my ARC.
