Not sure which direction this is headed

This was a really short First Impression, so I'm not entirely sure what to think. We start off with the contents of a natural history museum being moved from London to the countryside to avoid the Nazi bombing of London. The first chapter touched on the museum and its specimens, our narrator's troubled childhood, and the mysterious owner of Lockwood Manor. Not sure if this is going to be a mystery, romance, or what.
