Haunted WWII Historical Fiction
Another WWII historical fiction novel. There are so many out there that it is overwhelming. But I will take a scary haunting version any day! But the first look provided was just not enough! I needed more. Just when the story started to get good, that was it.
The novel beings with a young woman promoted to a senior position in a museum in London because all the men have been drafted to fight in the war. They are preparing for the inevitable bombing of the city by removing the most crucial specimens for preservation to an estate out in the country. It is alluded to that the manor is haunted, although, the first look only makes it to the trucks being loaded and sent off.
I was hooked & wanted to read more.
