Well, I’m a bit bummed that I used my first book reward here on a book I never received. But I won’t hold that against the book itself.

I read a ton of low reviews for this book for a post I was doing on one-star reviews and let me tell you, they convinced me I would hate it. But…I’m happy to report that I actually liked it! I agree with some of the reviews in that I also wanted there to be more focus on the serial killer plot. There was a lot of jumping back and forth between the present and the past. And then while the character’s in the past, he’s also seeing the future. This all made my head hurt.

The seeing the future stuff went right over my head, but I didn’t try too hard to make sense of it after a bit and the rest of the story still worked without a lot of it. The story was pretty eventful and I enjoyed the relationship between Katie and Chris. I was definitely not bored while reading this and recommend you try it yourself before making any judgments!
