The Angel Maker is complex. Quite possibly too complex for me. Sometimes when reading my current mood or surrounding can affect how I perceive the novel and ultimately how much I like it. Although it didn't exactly work out for me, it could be your perfect cup of tea.

There are a large cast of characters and an equally abundant amount of sub storylines all going on at once. It truly felt like a lot to keep up with. Again, might have just been me.

The Angel Maker is deep, dark, suspenseful, twisted, and felt much longer than it's 300+ pages.

Katie was dealt a bad hand and had to deal with unimaginable heartbreak at a young age. Fast forward to current day and Katie cannot help but bring the feelings of the past with her as she becomes a mother. & like it or not, the past is coming back to haunt her.

I was able to pass my copy on to another avid reader and traded for something much lighter. Make sure you have a good light read to follow this one up! 3 stars.
