I loved this first impression. So far so good.
First of all, the old style of writing of the first "before" that gives an ancient sensation. Truth is that I find a little chaotic the order of the story, but it links so well that I can't count it like a flaw.
Secondly: the femenine presence in it. We are so used to see male knights and male heroes with armor, but here there are only women who do the quests, who ride; who are stronger. And I find it refreshing. Nowadays we have a lot of books in which the women is empowered, but in this case it can go unnoticed.
And, finally, the plot. With these first 40 pages I don't know quite well in which direction is going, but the base is firm to make a great book, so I don't have doubts - I'll read it once it's published.
