This book just didn’t really work for me. The first few pages really skimmed over all the action that seemed like the most interesting part of the book. This was the stuff I was looking forward to and the part that would have hooked me. Because of this, there was no action, not much happened, and the stakes were, obviously, very low since you know what happened already and that everybody lives. I guess I just thought it was going to be an action-packed quest about knights and fighting a terrible god, but that was summed up and skirted over in the first few pages. Disappointing to me but maybe someone else will like it for what it is: a meet-and-fall-in-love story without a whole lot happening.
