I can definitely see the resemblance to the Sparhawk novels, which I read and loved years ago. Not many novels deal specifically with the aftermath of a quest and the way adventurers cope with the return to ordinary life, so I'm eager to see where this goes. And I love how the backstory is introduced first in epic style and then during an interrupted burglary! I know I'll love this book because I always love E.K. Johnston's work. She is a writer who can be trusted.
