I loved the opening of this book - how it instantly and neatly acknowledges the traditions of fantasy quest journeys while also indicating it might subvert things a bit by focusing on the aftermath. I also found the balance of information provided versus hints dropped about Kalanthe and Olsa as well as the other characters to be well-handled. I'm super excited to read more.
