It's been a while since I've read any high fantasy, but I can't wait to see what Johnston does here! This feels like such a gift for the queer girls who grew up on stories like this who never got to see themselves in them, and setting it after the big Quest (while still telling the story of that quest) is such an interesting choice. And, gosh, I love what we've seen of the two leads so far.
