I haven't read any E. K. Johnston yet but this looks like a good place to start! A fantasy book is right up my alley. It sounds a little complicated so I'm hoping as I get to read further into the book, things get clearer. I love the cover, you know right off the bat that this is a woman-centric book with diverse characters. Love!
