The Seven and a Half Deaths of Evelyn HardCastle by Stuart Turton is definitely a slow burn. I love love love the concept of this book. It truly reminds me of the movie, Groundhogs Day, combined with an Agatha Christie novel. The pacing of this book could be better though I wouldn’t say I lost interest around page 300 but I did find myself not reaching for the book, that being the reason I deducted a star. I love all of the details the author includes. It’s interesting to see how one action of Aiden Bishop’s host of the day can mess with the entire day for other hosts. There is some characters I found more charming than others but I could say the same with almost all books. I did get confused at some points just because there is a lot of characters to remember. Thankfully there is a guest card page at the beginning of the book that I would refer to while reading. Overall I’d recommend this!
