**Spoiler Warning**
The premise of the 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle was portrayed as Aiden Bishop being trapped in a time loop until he was able to solve the Murder of Evelyn. However, that's not an accurate description of what this book actually is. It actually is the story of a mass murderer and her escape from a maximum security prison at the hands of the man who went in intending to punish her further. That isn't exactly what I signed up to read and didn't really leave me feeling satisfied. We spend most of the time in Aiden's different hosts under the guise of trying to solve one murder but what we are actually witnessing is the slow manipulation of Aiden until he is convinced that he needs to release on of the worlds worst people back into society. It certainly was an interesting thought experiment and I do enjoy some aspects of it. It just wasn't what the book blurb lead me to believe it would be. And Evelyn's murder hardly seems to actually matter at all. Add in all the plot inconsistencies and questions that I had by the end and it just adds up to an overall perplexing experience.
