Summary: The Rules of Blackheath

Evelyn Hardcastle will be murdered at 11:00 p.m.

There are eight days, and eight witnesses for you to inhabit.

We will only let you escape once you tell us the name of the killer.

Understood? Then let's begin...

Aiden Bishop knows the rules. Evelyn Hardcastle will die every day until he can identify her killer and break the cycle. But every time the day begins again, Aiden wakes up in the body of a different guest at Blackheath Manor. And some of his hosts are more helpful than others.

The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is a breathlessly addictive locked-room mystery that follows one man's race against time to find a killer, with an astonishing time-turning twist that means nothing and no one are quite what they seem.

My thoughts: I just finished this buddy read with my real life bestie @readwithmaryy and boy was it a bummer. This one sounded so cool, reviews described it as clue meets Groundhog Day. It was over 450 pages and just dragged on and on and on 😔I loved the first 250 pages but then felt like I was waiting for it to end. By the end it was so dragged out I found myself skimming just to finish it up. It had potential but it was really drawn out and difficult to keep track of all the hosts and characters. Overall I felt sort of meh about this one!
