This was the best book I've read in a while. It's part mystery, part suspense, part uncategorizable. You know how when you're reading a good mystery you have to guess what will happen, but if you're right you're actually disappointed because that means it's too obvious? Just me? Well, I was not right about my predictions in this book, ever, and you probably won't be either. The characters are fascinating, and the glimpses into each one make the story that much more compelling. Anything that Tipton writes in the future I will certainly be reading. After finishing a book and trying to decide what I want to read next, I often find myself thinking "I really just want something like The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle again."
