I found the premise of this story to be really interesting and different from many of the mystery type books I've read recently. The writing was well done and the story itself was well executed with interesting characters and voice. The pacing, which I was worried about when realizing we'd be reading similar things throughout the story, never slowed down or felt like a slog to get through and I was engaged with the narrative the entire time I was reading. I do think that the number of characters was a bit of a drawback to the story, as it was kind of hard to keep track of them at all times with how complicated the plot itself was, which does reduce my star rating by one. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this book.
