I have been telling almost everyone that asks for recommendations about this book. It is one of my favorites that I have read this year!

In this novel, Lord and Lady Hardcastle are throwing a party of sorts at Blackheath. This party is to commemorate their son's murder that happened 19 years ago, and the attendants are the exact people who were on the premise at the untimely death of their son. On THIS night, however, Evelyn Hardcastle will also meet her untimely death and we (the reader) are tasked to find out exactly who is responsible.

Let me stop now to say, that this novel can be VERY confusing. We have multiple point of views, a little bit of time-hopping, and the details are intricately layered to keep us guessing and questioning. This is NOT a breezy novel to sit down and enjoy on the beach while you people watch, which is precisely why I enjoyed it so much. It makes you think about what you've previously read and how that mashes up with the new information you just obtained. This book is, simply put, a wild ride. One that I plan to revisit because it is just, THAT good.
