This was a great British police procedural. I really enjoyed the writing style of the author. The character development was superb. This story drew me in from the beginning. It was an enjoyable read with lots of twists, turns, and humor. I’ve not read anything g from this author until now. This book made me want to read more of her works. I also read there is a British television series. It sounds very interesting and I’m hoping to check it out soon. It was kinda neat to read something that was set in the 1970s. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good British Crime Novel. Having it set in a different time period is even more enjoyable. The politics within the police force, was especially different!
