I love reading books that take place somewhere I know/used to live. It brings a real familiarity to the setting and helps me really imagine the towns that the author is writing about. Plus, I absolutely love when a book can bring some exciting to an otherwise boring suburban setting. This novel does that perfectly. The characters are charming, smart, witty, and exciting. I adore the feminist narrative of a career woman turned stay at home mom who reignites her passion in her prior role and work. The writing style is takes a backseat to the story, which should be taken as a compliment- the plot is fast moving and gripping. All the included details give a clear sense of the characters and their lives. I loved it!
