This is a leisurely romp of a women's fiction/mystery novel perfect for a day at the beach. The main character, Corie, is still adjusting to her new life several years after the wedding: she's gone from being an FBI agent living in New York City to a suburban mom living on Long Island. She loves her husband and daughter but misses the excitement of her old job and life. At a weekly lunch for work-at-home neighbors in her new town, she decides one of the regular lunch attendees is behaving suspiciously - in fact, she realizes, he's been behaving suspiciously for some time. Is she so starved for excitement that she's imagining things? Or is her FBI training kicking in and discovering a real problem? Is it possible to love a husband who bores you senseless? That's pretty much the first half of the book. The mystery ramps up in the second half. I enjoyed it, but I'd recommend it for a day at the beach when you're looking for a pleasant, leisurely read. Disclosure - I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
