A member of her regular lunch group, Pete Delaney, is kind of weird - like he's trying to hard to be normal. He's pretty bland and Corie senses that something is up with him.
She has a lot of questions about Pete and she knows that her father is really the only one who will take her seriously. She and her dad look into Pete and find out that he does indeed have secrets. And through all this her husband has no idea.
I liked Corie and her humor and sarcasm, but what I didn't particularly care for is the length and depth of the investigations part of the story. Too much detail and the conversations kind of dragged on.
It was an okay read, but not one I would recommend.
