I was excited by the plot description of Takes One To Know One. Corrie's life has taken a turn after moving in and marrying Josh Geller. After leaving the FBI terrorism task force, Corrie is trying to find her way in the very different lifestyle of her new hometown. Working as a freelance book reader for publishing companies, Corrie is keeping her time at the FBI quiet in her new life. Corie attends weekly get-togethers with a small group of suburban self-employed, like herself. Often a little bored at these meetings, she starts to notice Pete, an unobtrusive man who is continually watching his Jeep and looking over his shoulder. It is here that her FBI training starts to come to life. Is Pete just a nice guy or is he hiding something like Corrie is.

Susan Isaacs' writing style is very detailed which allows you to become immersed in the world that she has created. It did take me a few pages to get into the story but once I could see where the plot was going I was hooked. I am reviewing an excerpt but the characters that have been introduced seem fully formed and multifaceted.
I would love to read the rest of this book. What is up with Pete?
